West Shore Home® Provides Lexington Vietnam Veteran with a New Shower through West Shore for Warriors Initiative
West Shore Home®, one of the fastest growing home remodeling companies in the nation, is honoring Veterans Day by providing deserving veterans with a new, modern shower. In total, the company is gifting eight new showers to select veterans nationwide.
U.S. Army Veteran Raymond Franklin is the recipient of a new, walk-in shower with multiple safety features. Franklin is a 30-year military veteran who saw combat in the Vietnam War. Two of his brothers were also in Vietnam. This led to his transfer out of the war zone due to military rules prohibiting multiple family members from serving in the same region.
Franklin went on to serve his country as a member of The Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. Through this elite Regiment he participated in ceremonial events and infantry duties. This included a deployment to the White House during Vietnam War protests to protect the White House and first family. He also served on the Army’s congressional escort team, accompanying elected officials on service-related trips around the world.
West Shore Home is removing Franklin’s old tub and replacing it with a walk-in shower, with a teak shower seat, six-way magnetic handheld wand and grab bars and for safety.
